Project Overview
The Jordon Group, was appointed to deliver a full end-to-end fit-out for a brand-new Londis convenience store, situated in the quaint village of Derry Hill, Wiltshire, between Chippenham and Calne.
The project supported the retailer’s move from a neighbouring premises into a newly built, purpose-designed unit – creating a modern, efficient trading environment tailored specifically to the needs of both the business and the local community.
From the outset, the focus was on delivering a bespoke, practical and future-proof retail space, whilst carefully managing costs and sustainability through the intelligent reuse of existing equipment.
Scope of Works
Our turnkey delivery included:
• Full store layout planning and merchandising optimisation
• Supply and installation of new shelving and retail fixtures
• Bespoke joinery and feature finishes
• New commercial flooring throughout
• Suspended ceiling systems
• High-efficiency LED lighting design and installation
• Repositioning and integration of existing refrigeration equipment
• Re-siting of existing air conditioning systems
• Repurposing and relocation of the existing service counter
By re-using key assets such as refrigeration cabinets, air conditioning units and the existing counter, we helped the retailer reduce unnecessary expenditure and environmental impact, while still achieving a fresh, high-quality finish.
The Result
The completed store delivers a bright, spacious and highly functional convenience retail environment, designed to improve customer flow, increase dwell time and enhance the overall shopping experience.
A dedicated hot food and coffee zone, clearly defined grocery and chilled food aisles, and an optimised counter area now support faster service and improved operational efficiency.
The store opened in time for the peak Christmas trading period and is now positioned for continued success well into the future.
