The Jordon Group, part of Bellrock Group, recently completed a spa fit out and refurbishment at Aqua Sana Forest Spa, Woburn Forest. We transformed an underutilised back of house storage area into the new Serenity Suite. Throughout the eight week programme, the spa remained fully operational.
The Challenge
Delivering a spa fit out and refurbishment within a fully operational hospitality setting requires meticulous planning, careful coordination and a deep understanding of the guest experience.
We transformed an existing back of house storage area into the Serenity Suite. In doing so, we completely repurposed the space to provide guests with a tranquil retreat focused on relaxation and wellbeing.
Our teams completed the project over an eight week programme and scheduled works during night shifts to allow Aqua Sana Forest Spa to remain open throughout the refurbishment. However, preserving the calm atmosphere guests expect from a luxury spa experience remained paramount. As a result, disruption had to be kept to an absolute minimum.
The challenge extended beyond transforming the physical environment. We also needed to work discreetly, efficiently and safely within a live hotel and spa setting.
Our Approach to Spa Fit Out and Refurbishment
As an experienced spa fit out contractor, The Jordon Group delivered a fully integrated refurbishment solution. We combined specialist fit out expertise with careful project management to ensure every element of the programme aligned with the operational needs of the resort.
Our scope included:
- Full strip out of the existing back of house area
- Internal fit out and refurbishment works
- Installation of specialist finishes and wellness features
- Integration of lighting and decorative elements
- Coordination of suppliers and multiple trades
- Night working throughout the programme to minimise disruption
- Delivery within a live hospitality environment
Throughout the programme, we worked closely with the client and adapted our delivery around operational requirements. As a result, the wider spa continued trading while the transformation took place behind the scenes.
The Outcome of the Spa Fit Out and Refurbishment
The completed Serenity Suite offers guests an immersive and calming environment designed to encourage relaxation from the moment they arrive.
Natural textures and soft lighting create a sophisticated wellness destination. In addition, biophilic design elements enhance the sense of calm. The finished space integrates seamlessly with the wider Aqua Sana offering and reflects the premium standards associated with the Center Parcs brand.

The contrast between the before and after images is particularly striking. What was once a functional storage space has become a destination in its own right. Ultimately, this demonstrates the potential of underutilised areas to create meaningful value for both operators and guests.
